Salvation Army

Client 

The Salvation Army chose to work with EDP to create their new Bread of Life Bakery, Cafe and Hub following a limited design based competition. 

Brief

Create a new Bakery, 50 seater cafe and Charity office hub in the old Salvation Army Horse yard area. The design should have a feel of inclusivity for all and be in keeping with William Booths original Salvation Army ethos. 

Solution

EDP reflected the historic features of the old Stable yard to create a central cafe leading up to serviced office areas at the rear of the building. Reclaimed brick, and Galvanised steel all help the space to feel as if it were a part of the original building.
